Reserve Media Production and Makerspace Equipment
Reserve a time to use our audio recording system, laser cutter, embroidery machine, or 3D scanner using the booking grid below.
Use of the audio recording system, laser cutter or embroidery machine requires previous training.
Training can be completed through the JMU Libraries Makerspace Canvas course. Anyone who has not completed training online before reserving equipment will have their booking denied.
Our audio recording space is located in Rose Library, room 5308.
Our makerspace ("The Makery") is located on the first floor of Rose Library. If the equipment you'd like to use in the makerspace is not on this list, then it is available on a first-come, first-served basis during our operating hours.
Instructions:
- Review the grid below to find an available time. We require advance notice - you may need to select a date in the future.
- Select a start time by clicking on the grid.
- A dropdown will appear below the grid in order for you to select an end time.
- Click the Trashcan icon to cancel or click Submit Times to complete a form and complete your reservation.
Reservations will need to be approved by a staff member before a booking is finalized. Approvals are made Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. You will receive two emails: the first verifying that you've submitted a booking request, followed by a second email confirming or denying your booking.
