A Celebration of Immigrant Stories: The Harrisonburg 360 Podcast
Event box
All JMU and Harrisonburg community members are invited to an online event celebrating local immigrant storytelling, specifically the stories featured in the Harrisonburg 360 Podcast. Created by students in Dr. Allison Fagan’s English class at JMU, this podcast ethically elevates the stories and needs of immigrants living in the Shenandoah Valley community, including at JMU.
Join us to hear from a panel of JMU students and the community partners who made this podcast possible. Ask questions during the question and answer session to learn more about the diverse experiences of multiple generations of the local immigrant community. Celebrate and hear the stories of our community—and expand perceptions of what it means to be an immigrant in Harrisonburg.
Co-sponsored by JMU Libraries and the JMU English Department.
