Description

Picture this: your image collections are tagged, findable, organized into collection sets, and ready to be showcased in easy slideshows. This snapshot could be your reality with a little insight into available tools such as Artstor and Adobe Lightroom. In this workshop, participants will learn how to leverage image collection management and presentation platforms to efficiently manage, organize, and present media assets. Digital Preservation Librarian Mark Lane and Educational Technology Instructor Bodeene Amyot will show participants how to organize photo collections, edit metadata, and showcase image collections in slideshows. Mark and Bodeene will demonstrate several practical workflows for managing and presenting image collections. They will cover strategies for organizing images, building collections, and presenting using Artstor library tools and Adobe Lightroom.

Objectives

At the completion of this workshop, participants will have knowledge of:

  • Uploading images to Adobe Lightroom and Artstor
  • Managing images in Adobe Lightroom and Artstor
  • Adding descriptive information to images
  • Navigating the Adobe Lightroom and Artstor interfaces
  • Creating presentation slideshows
