Description

TinkerCad is a cloud-based 3D design software that is used by teachers and designers of all ages. This session will explore 3D design and printing as a teaching and learning tool. Join us in JMU’s 3D printing classroom 3SPACE to learn the basics of 3D design using TinkerCad by making and printing your own object.

Objectives

  • Gain awareness of strategies to support learning through making
  • Explore the different uses of 3D designing and printing across multiple disciplines
  • Create your own TinkerCad account and experience how to use TinkerCad to design 3D objects
  • 3D print the object you design
