Description

This session will focus on assessment and evaluation techniques in a technology-enabled environment. There are tools in Canvas like rubrics, audio/video comments, surveys, peer reviews, and essentials of learning analytics that can contribute to effective assessment. There are also other affordable and easy-to-use tools to help you know students’ needs and customize your assessment approach(s). This session will review sample techniques and discuss the pedagogical use.

Instructional Design Virtual Workshop Series

As part of JMU Libraries’ mission to support teaching and learning, this series of workshops focus on instructional design strategies and practice. Making informed and pedagogical selection and use of technologies, being aware of accessibility features, and applying intentional instructional design can enhance the presence of class members, interactivity in learning engagement, and including users of ALL abilities.

Each workshop in this series is a stand-alone session. Pick and choose what suits your interest and needs.

The outcome, when completing all workshops in this series, is to build an essential foundation of instructional design.
