AI Tools at JMU: Hands-On Workshop

Gain practical experience with generative artificial intelligence (gAI) tools, including ChatGPT and Copilot in this interactive session for JMU faculty and staff.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore how gAI tools can streamline your workflows and boost productivity as we take you through the steps of using AI tools for writing tasks and multimedia creation. We will also address critical considerations like AI-related policies and long-term implications of AI in Higher Education. You’ll leave with valuable resources for further exploration of AI applications, equipping you with the expertise to use these tools effectively in your work.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Discuss how AI can be incorporated into workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity in academic and administrative roles.
  • Apply AI tools to tasks such as writing or creating multimedia content.
  • Consider the ethical considerations and responsibilities associated with integrating AI into professional tasks.
