Art Exhibit Reception: Discord & Harmony

Join us for an exhibit opening reception in the JMU Music Library!

"Discord and Harmony" is a new exhibit featuring art by students in the JMU School of Art, Design, and Art History (SADAH) and the School of Media Arts and Design (SMAD). The exhibit explores the ways that music inspires their art and how they harmoniously bring it together. Both performing arts and visual arts are meant to bring us together and capture the dissonance we may experience in our lives. Together in Discord & Harmony, these students have created artwork to celebrate what has inspired them -- and they put forth inspiration for others.

The students putting on the exhibit are members of the Gamma Kappa chapter of the co-ed International Honorary Art Fraternity, Kappa Pi. As a diverse community of creatives, they make all kinds of art from film and journalism to architecture and painting and everything in between.

All are welcome at this event! View information about parking near JMU Libraries locations.
