Intro to Adobe Illustrator

Discover the power of Adobe Illustrator in this workshop for beginners. Learn the fundamental tools and techniques to create illustrations, logos, and graphic designs. You'll learn to navigate the Illustrator interface, work with shapes and paths, apply colors, and use typography effectively. You'll also hear about creating and editing vector graphics.

Adobe Illustrator can be also used with laser cutters, vinyl cutters, and 3D printers, all of which are available in The Makery in Rose Library. We will briefly discuss how to modify Illustrator designs to work with these different technologies.

No prior Illustrator experience is needed. We will provide laptops with Adobe Illustrator during the workshop.

Illustrator is part of Adobe Creative Cloud, which is available in these locations on campus to people with a JMU eID.
