Zoom: Essentials for Effective Online Meetings

This online workshop will empower you with the skills to build engaging online meetings with Zoom. Learn how to implement Zoom effectively: use newly added accessibility features, robust polling options, host control in breakout rooms, and much more. Join us for an overview of the latest Zoom resources available to JMU employees, which can help improve online meetings, classes, or webinars. Co-hosted by JMU IT and JMU Libraries. 

After taking this workshop, you will:

  • Be able to identify essential Zoom functionalities for effective online meeting strategies. 

  • Have a strong understanding of building online environments with Zoom. 

  • Connect your Zoom-related needs with the support and services from JMU IT and JMU Libraries.


How to sign up

To register for this virtual workshop, visit MyMadison and log in with your JMU credentials, then:

  • Select the “Employee” tab
  • Select “Request Training Enrollment” in the “Training” box
  • Select “Search by Course Number”
  • Enter “it702” in the search box and select the “Submit” button
  • Select “View Available Session” 
  • Select “2301”
  • Select the “Continue” button to register
