DESCRIPTION:Discover how Anthology Ally\, our accessibility checker 
 integrated into Canvas\, can help you create more inclusive and accessible 
 courses. Ally helps instructors identify course materials that need 
 improvement and provides students with alternative file formats (e.g.\, 
 audio\, ePub\, HTML) based on their needs. See how Ally supports JMU’s 
 digital accessibility goals and serves as one of the ways we can help you 
 prepare to meet JMU's April 24\, 2026 goal for meeting updated Title II 
 requirements.\n\nIn this information session\, you'll:\n\n\n	Explore Ally's 
 core features and how they support inclusive teaching practices\n	Learn how 
 to enhance the accessibility of your course materials with Ally\n	Discover 
 the various resources JMU provides to support accessibility.\n	Practice 
 using Ally's feedback to fix common issues (e.g. scanned PDFs\, missing alt 
 text).\n\n\nInstructor\n\nIvan Guadarrama and Abiodun Stephen 
 Ijeluola\n\nAttending the workshop\n\nThis is a hybrid workshop\, offered 
 in both Rose Library room 3311 and on Zoom. \n\nIf you choose "online 
 registration\," you will receive the meeting link and password in the 
 registration confirmation and reminder emails. The emails will come from 
 "LibCal."\n\nIf you attend in person\, please bring a laptop.\n\nOther 
 dates\n\nThis workshop will be repeated on three other dates in January.
