Game-based assignments can help students engage with subject matter and encourage experimentation. In this virtual workshop, participants will be introduced to principles of game-based learning and explore how they can be used to enhance teaching and learning.

Participants will discover how to select and use pre-existing board and video games as learning tools in their own classes.


Participants will

  • Describe principles of game-based learning
  • Evaluate strategies for integrating a variety of pre-existing games into the classroom
  • Identify resources for identifying existing instructional board and video games
