Description

This workshop is geared towards students. Faculty and staff, please see our other 3D printing workshop offerings.

Students, interested in learning how to 3D print? By the end of this workshop, you will know some of the basics and best practices related to 3D modeling and 3D printing.

Objectives

This workshop is designed to give student attendees a basic overview of the history and advantages/disadvantages of 3D printing, related modeling and slicing softwares, and some of the materials and machines being used today. It will also allow attendees to get hands-on experience with Tinkercad, an entry level modeling software, and Ultimaker FDM 3D printers.
